CPS #219 - Another Thank You

Morning!!

Here is a very simple card; I put together very quickly.  I needed a thank you card, and nothing in my stash really fit what I wanted.  I had made a note of the sketch for CPS this week and decided to make a new card using the sketch.
Here is what I came up with.

The digistamp came from OWH Stars & Stripes.  Awesome website!!  Be sure to check it out if you haven't.  Their mission is so wonderful!!  The patterned paper is years and years old from Creative Memories.  I found it in the very bottom of the purple scrap drawer.  I have my scraps divided into colors; it does help in making the search for a scrap easier.  I still have not taken picture of my craft room.  I so need to do that.  Anyway, besides entering this card in Challenge 219 at CPS, I  am also entering it over at the ABC Challenge Site.  This week's challenge is V for Violet.  I think this card works just dandy for that.

Thanks for following my blog.  It is super nice to have the encouragement, and I really appreciate it!

We All Scream for Ice Cream!!

Hello!

Not sure about you all, but I am a HUGE ice cream fan.  Oh, right now, I am on a total kick for a new ice cream I discovered -- Blue Bunny Homemade Turtle Sundae
Oh, my!  It is so good.  So good that when my daughter asks for ice cream, I don't even offer this one.  She gets the chocolate swirl that is in the freezer, too.  One of the best things about living in Florida -- never too cold to eat ice cream.  Not that it really was too often in Indiana, but there were times.

Anyway, how about the card?
Sorry, it is so dark.  Really, I have to do research into taking better pictures.  I am so jealous of the others I see.  Anyway, I am not sure where the digistamp came from, but it was just too fun not to color.  Broke out my Bic Mark It Markets because I knew there were some great lime green colors in the group.  Have to have mint ice cream, right?  Again, I am pretty proud of myself as the other items on this card are cut from what was left of the DCWV Whimsy Paperpack cover.  I know you can't tell in the picture, but the HI is completely glittered as are the two colored squares behind the cone.  The Hi is pop dotted.  I decided to put the card together on Kraft stock because it seemed to go with the cone on the ice cream, and then also I could enter this card into a few challenges.

Thanks Again

Hey, Look -- Posting Two Days in a Row!!!
The little things make me so happy.  Can you tell?
Thanks to my friend Sonia, and I found a great challenge site.  I think it is perfect for me.  It is called CAS-ual Fridays.  It is a challenge site based solely on designing Clean And Simple designs.  Don't get me wrong, I love to look at all the fancy cards that people make, but that is just not me.  I have always felt as though I should be forcing myself to be more like that, but not any more!  So here is what I came up with for

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge CFC3 - Bring the Bling

I love this cute little fairy.  I have been so anxious to color her.  She came from Elizabeth O. Dulemba's Coloring Page Tuesdays.  Okay, I have to tell you about the patterned paper behind her.  I did some more organizing over the weekend, and I decided to take most of my paper packs apart and file the pages along with all my other paper.  However, I decided to keep the front covers because it hit me that I could cut them up, and they would be perfect for cards.  I think it turned out to be one of my better ideas.  I have another card to show you using the same DCWV Whimsy Paper Pack packaging.

Here are some other challenges I am going to enter my card into

WOW -- White on White

Hello!
I feel like I am constantly apologizing for not posting.  I am just in complete awe that the blogs I follow can find time to craft and post at least once everyday.  I just don't know how that is even possible!  So, I guess, I just need to ask for patience.  Please don't give up checking my blog.  I promise I try to craft so that I have something to show you!

Luckily today, I think I have something pretty cool to show you.  I came across the challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge blog, which is also where the digi came from, too.  It is Challenge 46 - White on White.  It was allowed to use some color on the sentiment and digistamp, but no colored paper or embellishments.  So, here is what I came up with
I know the flowers appear to have some color in them, but they really don't.  I think it is just from my lack of photography skills.  This card is the thank you card for our Main Leader for my daughter's Girl Scout troop.  I am hoping she likes it.

I am also going to enter this card over at Paper Sundaes for Challenge #70 - Pop It Up.  Miss Cool is popdotted and the flowers even sit a little higher of the card as I used some seriously thick sticky dots.  The last entry is over at Digital Tuesday Challenges.  Challenge #112 is add some texture, which I think this card fits for.

I am wondering if anyone has some good scrapbooking challenge blogs?  I am loving the card challenge blogs I have been visiting, but I would love to be able to have the same fun with my scrapbooks.

Better Late than Never, Right?

Hello!
I am sorry this is so late today, and what I have to share isn't even a card or such.  I have been working on ideas for the final two Daisy Scout Meetings.  Since we are a brand new troop that started half way through the school year, funds and direction have kind of been limited.  Thus, I have been racking my brain trying to come up with some inexpensive projects for our troop of 17 girls (first and kindergartners) to make.  So, this is what I came up with.  The project is also to help them learn their Girl Scout Law.
Each Petal and Color represents a different responsibility in the law, and they are written on the inside of the petals.  Here is what it really looks like.  Not too bad, right?

Petal Color
Blue Center
Light Blue
Honest & Fair
Yellow
Friendly & Helpful
Spring Green
Considerate & Caring
Red
Courageous and strong
Orange
Responsible for what I say and do
Purple
Respect myself and others
Magenta
Respect authority
Green
Use resources wisely
Rose
Make the world a better place
Violet
Be a sister to every Girl Scout

The Chosen One

Morning!
Today's card is pretty fun.  It is heading to my father-in-law.  Shhh...don't say anything.  My husband, my sister-in-law, my father-in-law and I are Harry Potter fans, so I thought he would get a kick out of this card.

The image is from Bugaboo Stamps.  You can find their store here
Since this card turned out so cute, I have several challenges I am going to enter it in.

Thanks for looking!

Pink Again

Good Morning!
I have to admit I love pink, but the fact that everything has been pink the last few days was not really intentional.  Yesterday, I had inspiration to use pink.  Today, well, Kich is a fairy, and fairies are always better pink, in my opinion, anyway.
This is the card I created to use for the Kich N' Blues second monthly challenge.  The challenge was a Thank You Card.  Of course, that is where the image came from, as well.  I got the image as a result of participating in their first challenge.  What a great way to get free digis!  Doing something I love to do anyway; plus, I get rewarded.

The card layout is from a sketch challenge over at The Sweetest Thing.  They gave us this sketch to use for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 117.

I was very frustrated trying to create scallops since I don't have any of those fancy edge punches.  Plus, it was after ten, so I really did not want to turn on my Cricut.  Everyone else in my house was sleeping.  Gotta craft when you can, right?  I have been saying it for months, but I really got to get some of those punches!

Thanks for looking!

O'fishally Awesome!

Hello All
It seems like it has been forever since I have posted.  I know it has not been that long, but with all the blogger problems things were just so out of sorts.  Threw my entire routine out of whack, and something you may not know about me is that I am very much a creator of organization.  Bet you thought I was going to say habit.  Well, habit plays into it because then I know things are where they belong, but really it is just that I am completely at the mercy of my surroundings.  I get over stimulated so easily!  The worst is noise and mess.  I try to stand it for a little while, but once I hit my breaking point -- watch out!  Also, my daughter had her first Girl Scout Overnight on Saturday.  Let me just say, yesterday was spent trying to catch up on some serious sleep and the house after one night of my husband and son being alone!!
Anyway, enough of all that.  How about a card?
The fishy and sentiment are again from one of my favorites, MelonHeadz!
I came across two challenges today that were about inspiration.  The first was over at Delicious Doodles.  Challenge 25 was about what inspires you.  Right now, my thoughts are consumed with looking forward to my cruise, beach, relaxation, and hanging out with my friends.  Then over at There She Goes, they have this picture
which lead me straight to the color choices for this card.  Thus, the end result is a fun card I am sending to my girlfriend that will be on my cruise with me.  I just wanted to let her know how much I was looking forward to our time together.

Thanks so much for looking!

Very, Very Late

Well, good evening!
Like everyone else in the bloggin' world just about, I was having fits this morning trying to post.  I really thought about not posting today, but there were a few challenges I wanted to enter with my card.  I will have to look to see if I am too late for that, though.
Regardless, here is the card I made to send to a friend, who in less than 30 days, my husband and I will be meeting up with her and her husband to take a cruise!!!!  Sean and I will be celebrating our ten year anniversary in June, and my friends celebrated their ten year in March.  Thus, a cruise seemed like a perfect gift for all involved.  Most importantly, I will be dropping my children off in Evansville, where they will be visiting while Sean and I cruise the ocean.  I am excited about the trip and just being Sean and I, but I have a feeling after a few days I will be missing my children.
Anyway, on to the card...
The digi is one I actually purchased specifically for this card from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  Since it is their stamp, I thought entering it into their Anything Goes Challenge would be just perfect.  Also, thought I would enter it in challenges at

Let's Try This Again

Good Morning!
I have already tried twice this morning to post, but apparently, there must have been something going on because it just was not having any of it!
So, let's try this again!

I am pretty excited about today's card.  It features a digistamp created by Kenny K, whom I just LOVE!  This stamp is one of the five I was able to pick as the winner of the Kenny K Krafty Girlz Challenge a few weeks back.  I decided to use this stamp and color it retro style, so I could enter into this week's Let's Go Retro Challenge
I am also going to enter the card into the following challenges:

Thanks for looking again!
Let's hope I get a few moments to craft today, so I have something to post tomorrow.

I am also on the mission to find something cute to make 12 of for the teachers and staff at my daughter's school.  Any ideas?  I have lots of empty Crystal Lite containers.  Thought about altering those and putting something inside.  Just not sure, yet.  I know - not a lot of time to be indecisive!

"Owl" RIght?

Hello!
Today's card is one I created to play along over at
I also hate to admit that I don't remember where this cute digi came from.
Sorry this is not the best picture.  I've really got to figure that part out!
The challenge at Cute Card Thursday was chocolate - picture, theme or colors.  Obviously, I went with chocolate colors.  I used my Crayola Colored pencils, stumps, and Low Odor Thinner as the blending agent.  Had to add some Stickles, too.  The large brown dots are blinged using the "stickles" from Michael's dollar bin.  I will let you know what I think when they dry, but I can say for sure, it is definitely more sticky.
I am also going to enter the Use It Tuesday Challenge - Bling
and

Sugar and Spice

Yay!  I worked some craft time in yesterday, so I thought I would show you one of the things I came up with.  I am going to be sending it to a friend of mine who is very inspirational.  This person does some pretty amazing work, and I wanted to let this person know that I think they are so strong yet so sweet as well.  I thought a monster with candy might convey that sentiment in a fun way.
Not really sure where the digi came from, but I am sure I got it around Halloween, though.  I always think it is so exciting when I can use something differently than intended.
I used the CPS Sketch Challenge for the week as my layout idea.  Here are the challenges I will be entering the card into.

My Mother's Day Card

Hope you all had a blessed Mother's Day.
I know I did!
I don't have any of my own projects to share with you today,
but I mentioned before that I would post my Mother's Day card after I got it.
Pretty cute!
I am sure this is not the last project we will be seeing from my daughter.  I showed her the site with the challenge I entered her project in.  She thought it was so cool.  Before long she will have more projects to share than I do.
Hopefully, I will get to craft some today, so I have something to show you tomorrow.
Thanks for looking today!

Mother's Day for Great!

Today's card is the Mother's Day Card I made for my husband's grandmother.  Instead of the kids referring to her as Great Grandma, her name is just Great!  How cool is that?  I want to be special enough someday where I am referred to solely as Great.  Has to make a person feel pretty special!
Again, the digistamp is one by my favorite, MelonHeadz.   I used my Bic Mark It markers to color again.  I used a few challenges as inspiration for this card.  They were
This is another one of the three Mother's Day cards she made.  Turned out pretty cute!

My Baby Girl's Birthday Card

Remember when birthdays were still exciting and something you looked forward to?  My daughter had been counting down to her birthday for weeks, and even though it was actually yesterday, the fun is not done yet.  Grandpa surprised her with a visit last night, so we hung out at home.  We had pizza and cupcakes.  Of course, we opened presents and played.  That was after a field trip at school yesterday.  They ended their field trip up with a picnic at our city park where I meet them with Tangled Cupcakes.  Overall, I think it was a good day, and I think she went to bed happy.  Tonight she has a friend spending the night and we are going to Chuck E Cheese.  Ending the Birthday Celebration with a day at Blizzard Beach Water Park.  Good thing Sunday is Mother's Day because I am going to need a day to relax!

Here is the card I made for her birthday.  I kept putting off making the card because I knew I was going to cut out a Silvermist from my Tinker Bell and Friends Cricut Cartridge, and I needed a new blade to get it done correctly, and that just never happened.  Thus the card did not turn out as intended at all.
I also got to use my Storybook Cricut Cartridge.  The stamping is actually the sentiment on the inside.   Since I have the Birthday Card, I thought I would enter it into a challenges.

Happy Mother's Day from my Baby Girl

I can't believe that my baby girl turned SEVEN today!
How is that even possible?
I am not going to lie, I am not a fan of this growing up stuff!

My daughter is a big crafter, too.  Sometimes she has a bit of a problem not going over board with the extras, but I think as she gets older that will get better.  I printed her out some digistamps to color and use on her projects, and here is one of the cards she came up with.
She drew the crab.  I thought he was pretty gosh darn cute.  I told her about a special challenge over at Sentimental Sundays.   They are having the usual type of challenge (For the women in your life), but they are also adding a Crafting with a Child Challenge.  Thus, her card will be entered in her very first challenge, and let me just tell you how excited she is!

Here is my entry for the challenge.

It is a Mother's Day card for a very special Aunt.  She doesn't have kids, but she is the mom to several cute puppies.  I like to send her a card from the puppies and I each year.  She loves Cherished Teddies, too.  So, when I saw this image from May Brit, I knew it was just perfect!

Hang around because I will be posting more of the cards my baby girl made.  I am anxious to see the one she made for me!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Bugaboo Challenge Thank You Style

Good Wednesday to all.

Well... did you catch the excitement going on in the sidebar?
I was the winner at Kenny K's Kradt Girlz Challenge this past week!  I got to pick five new Kenny K images, which I love.  They speak to the bad girl side of me.  Once the new digis are put to use, I will show you the finished product.

Now on to the card...
Today's card is a thank you card incorporating a Bugaboo digistamp along with their challenge.  The image is super cute, and I put my Expression to work.  I cut the wording and the pink design from the Storybook Cartridge.

Be sure to check in tomorrow as I will have something special in honor of my baby girl's 7th birthday.
See you then!

Super Mom

Happy Tuesday!
Today's card uses a very fun image from one of my very favorite illustrators, Nikki at MelonHeadz.  You can visit her site from here for a ton of great digistamps.
I made the card knowing I could use it for several different occasions.
I colored with my BIC Mark It Markers and my Creative Memories Markers, which is where the brown for the flowing hair came from.   The card base is Bazzil, the patterned paper is Creative Memories, and the ribbon is SU.  I attached with some cool brads.
Challenges:

Paper Sundaes Challenge #67 - Favorite Hair Colour Combinations

Little Miss Muffet  - Challenge #8 - Diecuts or Punches

Use It Tuesdays  - Challenge #6: Fasteners

Another Mother's Day Card

Wow!  What a morning to wake up in America, right?
God bless our military men and women!  Certainly, praying for continued protection for our entire nation as I am sure the retaliation will be fierce.
Okay, onto lighter stuff!
Today's card is another Mother's Day Card, which I broke out some Stampin' Up Supplies for.
Isn't this flower so cool?  I got it at the Fun Frugal Crafter.  I colored it with my Stampin' Up Markers.  The card base is Stampin' Up, as well.  I am not sure if you can see the clear button in the center, but that is from Stampin' Up, too.  The rest of the paper came from the tower o' scraps.

I have decided to enter the card in the following challenges...
Card Makin' Mamas  -  Card for a Loved One Challenge
Cute Card Thursday  -  Challenge 162 Use a Sketch

Mother's Day Card Disney Style

Hello!
Sorry for the delay in posting.  Conner has been sick again, which really cuts into my craft room time.  I tell you I am really thinking of having him live in a bubble.  I cannot keep that kid health for anything.  I think we are dealing with serious allergies, but apparently, he is still too young to really determine what he is allergic to.  His test results came back inconclusive. I was really hoping they would provide us with some answers, but it looks like that won't be happening.

Okay, I am not going to lie.  I did not realize Mother's Day was this weekend.  I have been so focused on Amelia's birthday that I never really looked at the calendar.  Needless to say, I am behind getting my Mother's Day cards made, and since that is the case, speed is now incredibly important.

So, here is the first one I've put together.  Let me put out there that my mother-in-law's favorite color is yellow and you can kind of guess who her favorite Disney character is.

I broke out my Expression for this one.  It felt kind of strange using it almost.  It has been so lonely.  However, since I made the time cut off I am going to enter this card in the

Thanks for looking.  Hopefully, I will have more to post in the next few days because I have to get them in the mail!
