Six again!

Hello Again!

Okay, so Book Fair is open today now, but I have a bow order I must get to.  Thus, I stayed home this morning to make a bow (and blog).  I will be heading to school shortly.  So, I will just share quickly the other birthday card (that I made at the last minute) for a little friend of Conner's, who turned six this past weekend.

I have been on a roll with using up scraps, pieces and extra preprinted digistamps, which is exactly what I did this time, too.  Makes me feel resourceful when I do that!  I know it is a super easy card.  However, since it was for a child, I thought it fit.  I think the stamp might be a Bugaboo stamp, but again, I can't say with certainty.  It does, however, meet the requirements for a few challenges!

Another Birthday Weekend

Well, today is the last day of Book Fair, so maybe my craft room won't feel so lonely after today!  I certainly have a few bow orders I have to catch up on before anything else crafty can be done!  However, this weekend was another one jammed packed with Birthday Parties.  The catch was that this weekend included parties for Conner's friends.  He has been waiting for the day when he was one the invited to the birthday parties, and Sissy had to stay home.  Needless to say, he started off with a bang!

Here is the card I made for the party on Sunday.  The party was for a girl in his class, who he refers to as his "Super Good Friend".  Too cute!!

I was totally late in getting this card made, so I headed straight to the scrap drawers and my binder with all of the preprinted Digi Stamps.  I never just print one image at a time, so I will load up a page with other images.  Even if I don't plan to use it right at the moment, it helps me to be prepared and save time when situations like this come up.  However, the bad part is that I can't even tell you where I got the stamp from because it has been printed and sitting for so long!  I also took out my notebook where I make note of some of the challenges I may be interested in joining.  I knew I had copied down a sketch challenge, so it was a "no-brainer" on what the layout was going to be.  Like I said, all of the paper was in my purple scrap drawer.  I know that the patterned paper was left over from a mini book I got from Creative Memories YEARS ago!  I colored the image with colored pencils, and blended away, to help cover the lines because I colored so fast.  Here are the challenges I am submitting it to:

My Baby Girl's Birthday Card

Remember when birthdays were still exciting and something you looked forward to?  My daughter had been counting down to her birthday for weeks, and even though it was actually yesterday, the fun is not done yet.  Grandpa surprised her with a visit last night, so we hung out at home.  We had pizza and cupcakes.  Of course, we opened presents and played.  That was after a field trip at school yesterday.  They ended their field trip up with a picnic at our city park where I meet them with Tangled Cupcakes.  Overall, I think it was a good day, and I think she went to bed happy.  Tonight she has a friend spending the night and we are going to Chuck E Cheese.  Ending the Birthday Celebration with a day at Blizzard Beach Water Park.  Good thing Sunday is Mother's Day because I am going to need a day to relax!

Here is the card I made for her birthday.  I kept putting off making the card because I knew I was going to cut out a Silvermist from my Tinker Bell and Friends Cricut Cartridge, and I needed a new blade to get it done correctly, and that just never happened.  Thus the card did not turn out as intended at all.
I also got to use my Storybook Cricut Cartridge.  The stamping is actually the sentiment on the inside.   Since I have the Birthday Card, I thought I would enter it into a challenges.
